TheStar reports that according to some industry sources, iPhone might be seeing the light of day somewhere between May and July.
Rogers plans to advertise iPhone through a marketing campaign that focuses on “touch screen” devices like LG vu and HTC Touch. Still to unveil 3G devices Rogers will have to wait until it’s announced during WWDC on June 9.
This would end the “big unknown” which plagued us, as Canadians for so long.
Interesting, theStar did not say if Apple resolved its trademark conflict with ComWave.

Still, according to the source, Rogers Wireless executives believed that they were close to finishing the deal with Apple.
Were they influenced by “Great Canadian iPhone petition” to finish this deal faster? Who knows.
“We believe it is a phenomenal device and we look forward to being able to offer it to our customers if and when the device becomes available in Canada,” said Elizabeth Hamilton, a Rogers spokesperson.
One other issue with Rogers are data plans. And it seems we won’t have unlimited data plan in the near future.
“We’re not fans of unlimited plans,” Rob Bruce, president of Rogers’ wireless division, told analysts during a February conference call. Who knows though, maybe Apple will change Rogers’ minds and they will come up with something affordable for the general user.
Both Apple and Rogers declined to comment on these recent dealings.
