APPLE’S hottest gadget, the internet-enabled iPhone, is likely to be available in Australia by the end of next month according to news leaked onto a leading tech website CNET.
Part iPod MP3 player, part mobile phone, the iPhone launched in the US in in June and sold more than one million units in its first 74 days.
The release date is expected to be confirmed before June 9 when Apple’s Worldwide Developer’s Conference starts in San Francisco. The company’s chief executive Steve Jobs is also expected to unveil a new 3G version of the iPhone at the conference.
The 8GB iPhone sells for $426 in the US.
