Apple SDK agreement denies third party GPS apps?

Posted in iPhone News by admin. Published June 22nd, 2008

It appears that Apple is not going to allow third party GPS software makers to adapt their programs for the 3G iPhone (that will feature an A-GPS).

According to paragraph 3.3.7 of iPhone SDK agreement:

Applications may not be designed or marketed for real time route guidance; automatic or autonomous control of vehicles, aircraft, or other mechanical devices; dispatch or fleet management; or emergency or life-saving purposes.
