iPhone from Vodafone on no-contract prepaid (pay-as-you-go) plan

Following news of O2’s announcement in which it stated that the 3G iPhone will be available to customers without a monthly contract (on prepaid pay-as-you-go basis), Vodafone, another European and Asian iPhone distributor, announced that it is planning to do the same thing.

Although, they did not reveal how much the non-subsidized iPhone would cost.

Will a similar sales model arrive in USA and Canada sometime, if ever? We’ll just have to wait and see, it seems.
