StyleTap to bring 20,000 mobile apps to iPhone

Canadian company StyleTap Inc. will provide the StyleTap CrossPlatform for the iPhone and the iPod touch — that, according to the company, will allow over 20,000 mobile applications to run on these devices, which would be a huge overall boost for iPhone’s usability.

As for prior experiences, StyleTap CrossPlatform has successfully enabled developers of applications originally written for Palm OS devices to deploy their applications on handheld PDAs and smartphones running Microsoft Windows Mobile. These same applications will soon be available to users with smartphones based on the Symbian OS platform, with the impending release of StyleTap CrossPlatform for Symbian OS, currently in the beta testing cycle.

You can see a video presentation of StyleTap’s CrossPlatform for iPhone and iPod Touch below, while more information is available on company’s site.

Further information about the product, including how it will be marketed and sold, will be made available in early July 2008, while the company should be present at the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco, CA from June 9-13, 2008 and would be happy to meet developers interested in CrossPlatform — they do ask to contact them for appointments (email: sales at styletap.com or contact them through their website) in advance, though.
