iPhone Apps: AgileMessenger

agileMobile has released a native multiple messenger client for iPhone. It supports ICQ, MSN, AOL, Yahoo, Jabber and Google Talk. The app has quite a lot of functionality embedded. that’s a huge step up compared to the other messenger clients for the iPhone. Some of its features are:

Tabbed im’ing
Ability to change status (online, invisible, away, etc)
Ability to edit groups
Ability to use emoticons
Send picture snaps which you can take with your camera
App runs in the background
Ability to check how much traffic you have used (good if you are on Edge)
Ability to save chat history
And much more…

The app is quite easy to use too. You just start it up, select which client to use, type in your username and pass, and wait a few moments until it logs in. Of course you can log in into more than one client, and you will be able to do so from Menu. If you open more than one chat, they will be opened in different tabs.

One thing to remember though is that you have to quit the app from Menu, since Home button just hides it in the background.

You will find this app in your Installer.app in Network category.
