LG Samsung and Nokia strives to replace Apple iphone 3G

After the launch of Apple 3G iphone,other companies like Samsung, LG and Nokia have decided to follow suit. These companies are ready to launch cheaper touchscreen phones as the Apple 3G phone didn’t score with the indian public because of its exorbitant price.It may be noted that the 8 GB iphone costs around 31,000 Rs and the 16 GB iphone costs around 36,000 Rs.

All these companies are planning on incorporating an online music store to compete with the iTunes following the decision of expansion of market of Apple Inc. in India. Reportedly,Nokia’s first touch phone is codenamed ‘the tube’ and it will be priced moderately unlike the iPhone 3G. Nokia’s internet services platform viz OVI will contain a music section that will provide regional and Hindi music services.

Samsung OMNIA (SGH-i900) which incorporates features like touchscreen,and GPS will be launched shortly in India. HTC Touch Diamond with TouchFLO 3D user interface integrated with a GPS navigation system and the LG KF700 which features a combination of touchscreen technology with alphanumeric keypad, are all ready to replace the expensive Apple iphone.
