Spore Mobile for iPhone Spawns Monday

Good news, iPhone owners. Looks like EA will be spreading a little Spore love your way, September 7th, the same day the game hits for Mac and PC.

Available for the iPhone and iPod Touch, this isn’t the full version of the game (I can’t imagine that loading Spore in its entirety on your phone would leave all that much space for any other functions), but rather Spore Origins, a game designed specifically for Apple’s mobile computer.

From the looks of it, the iPhone version looks a lot like Spore’s Cell stage, though for phones, the stage is expanded to 35 levels. It also contains a mini version of the Creature Creator.

“We’re really excited to bring Spore Origins to the iPhone and iPod touch,” EA Mobile’s Travis Boatman said in a release issued this morning. “By leveraging the unique capabilities of these devices, players can customize their own creatures and shape their destiny in an exciting evolutionary journey. ”

Users can download the game via the App Store or by visiting eamobile.com on an iPhone or iPod Touch.
