Yesterday, wireless carrier TeliaSonera announced that it would bring the iPhone 3G handset to Latvia and Lithuania on September 26th.
According to Macworld UK, TeliaSonera currently owns Latvia’s largest mobile operator, Latvian Mobile Telephone (LMT) and also controls Onmitel, the largest telecommunications operator in the Baltic region.
Neither provider has released details on the iPhone 3G’s price or service plans.
The news comes as a report claims Apple will this year introduce the iPhone in an additional 29 countries, including Russia, Brazil and Egypt, but not China or Korea.
Stay tuned for additional details as they become available and if you’ve heard anything on your end, please let us know in the comments or forums.
