When the iPhone 3g was announced, I found it enticing, but I was a skeptic and found the initial buy in a bit pricey. As I watch the economy crumble around me, I’ve interviewed some as may iPhone users as would speak to me..( can I call them Disciples?)…They have a unique passion about this gadget and I set out to get to the bottom of it.
The latest version is feature rich and easy to use. The users I have spoken with the mention of price as the most compelling reason for an iPhone 3g . HUH?…..I didn’t beleive it . Read on…….
PRICE
Around the country both techies and the and the technical unwashed (the rest of us) queued up to buy the original iPhone, (at $599 and $699 …. 8GB and 16GB). With the passing time prices dropped, iPhone sales accelerated
Apple’s research revealed that almost half of people they surveyed didn’t buy an iPhone because they suffered from sticker shock. One result of hteir research is the new and improved iPhone 3G has a reduced up front cost…. The 8GB iPhone sell for $199, about one-third the price that the 4GB iPhone sold for at launch a year ago. The 16GB model sells for $299…..
APPLICATION RICH
The potential for future apps, the abundance of application tool kits, combined with the iPhone’s existing programs..its iPod video and audio capabilities, its photo album, its easy e-mail, its Google Maps and YouTube apps–makes the iPhone 3G a unique offering in wireless communicatio
3G Browsing Speed
Web pages load up to 2.8 times faster. That’s a major advantage, Information at your fingertips (literally) …desired information sooner, rather than twiddling my thumbs while I wait.
Improved International Support
The iPhone 3Ga has a breakthrough multilingual keyboard that you can change out on the fly and a user-removable SIM card , a very helpful SIM-card ejector. If you need to access the Web while overseas, or you want to swap out your SIM card (presumably, after an unspecified period of time), AT&T allows its customers unlock the phone for international use, as the company has allowed with its more standard phones.
The Apple iPhone 3G is the best wireless device
Still the King of wireless phones. While feature development has slowed in general with wireless devices, is so far ahead in its innovation and thinking that it has a seemingly insurmountable lead over its competitors, and is in a realm of its own as a result.None of the iPhone killers are come close to challenging the iPhone’s media handling and ease of use.
