AdPinion launches iPhone app recommender

Appalanche should make it easier to find iPhone games

How can users possibly pick out cool games from more than 10,000 iPhone applications?

It’s a challenge that Apple’s surely working on with its App Store, in terms of providing better discovery methods. But a new site called Appalanche is also aiming to help.

It’s the work of a firm called AdPinion, and it’s a website – albeit one that works on the iPhone’s browser as well as PCs.

The site serves users up with six app icons at a time, which can be clicked on for more details. The idea is to drag them into either a ‘Like’ section or a ‘Don’t Like’ section at the top of the screen.

The site then serves up more recommendations, in theory learning a user’s preferences as it goes, and providing them with better choices.

It’s an interesting concept, anyway. Check the site out by clicking here.
