If you’re tech savy, or at least think that you are, then there’s some interesting news for you. Rapid Repair, an online repair service for digital electronics, now allows you to do the repairs yourself. So if you break your iPhone, you fix it, because Rapid Repair now offers a complete line of replacement parts for the iPhone, as well as repair tools and guides to make the job easy(ier).
Rapid Repair has replacement parts for both the firstgen iPhone and the iPhone 3G. They have most of the parts anyone would need, including replacement LCD screens, batteries, SIM trays, camera and GPS modules, and even the mainboards. However, the prices are somewhat pricey, as the aforementioned 16GB replacement mainboard costs a whopping $499, while an LCD screen will set you back by $150.

So, at this stage, the question is whether you will want to buy a new iPhone or attempt to repair the broken one, while trying not to break it even more.
