Thai Operator says it’s still looking to cut a deal with Apple after earlier talks stalled.
An article on Reuters says the iPhone could still make it onto a second network in Thailand after local operator AIS confirmed it’s still in talks with Apple.
Rival operator True Move began offering the 3G iPhone in January, with AIS conceding that it had failed to strike a deal with Apple.
However, AIS Chief Marketing Officer Sanchai Tiewprasertkul has now told reporters: “We have not stopped talking. We are still exploring several options to sell iPhone to serve demand.”
AIS is Thailand’s leading mobile operator, accounting for half of the market.
