ServersMan@iPhone turns your iPhone into a web server

High traffic internet sites obviously require high speed servers for hosting. But what if you’ve got a website that only a handful of people visit every day? Well, with ServersMan@iPhone iPhone app developed by Japanese company Freebit you can actually turn your iPhone into a web server!

In about 5 minutes, IPv6 fixed address is assigned to the iPhone, set of IPv6 routing addresses is assigned, filter settings and host name are registered.

Once the app is installed, PCs on the internet can access the iPhone to upload or download files through a browser or they can use the webDAV protocol. If the PC and the iPhone are on the same network, the PC can connect directly. If they are on separate networks, then FreeBit’s VPN software will provide the connection.

This app is free to get, but sadly it’s currently only available in the Japanese AppStore and only in Japanese language. An English version is coming soon, though.
