App Store Lessons: Your tech incidents are about to expire

Every iPhone developer membership includes two complimentary technical support incidents. If you are close to renewing, don’t forget that these incidents will expire.

App Store Lessons: Your tech incidents are about to expire

It’s the time of year when many iPhone developers are looking forward to renewing their memberships. Before time runs out, don’t forget that your membership includes two technical support incidents per year. You can use these to ask Apple Engineers for help with code-level assistance, for general guidance, and so forth. Most importantly, these incidents vaporize at the end of each year.

With the iPhone OS 3.0 SDK just released, it’s a better time than ever to take advantage of your available tickets. For example, I just sent in a request to clarify whether the 3.0 SDK can be used to build App Store products using the 2.2.1 build settings. (It’s a question that a bunch of us have been bandying around for a few days without getting anywhere.) You probably have questions as well.

The best part of the situation is that the answers you receive will be clear, unambiguous and canonical. After all, they’re already paid for in your membership. And, when you renew, you’ll automatically pay for two new incidents, which will help cover you for next year.
