iPhone On Life Support - Needs A New Brain?

As an IPhone user, fan, admirer, stalker I have been waiting to pull the trigger on my very own IPhone for one reason, and one reason only….

I, along with thoughts of current IPhone users have been expecting a hardware improvement on the processor. The biggest issue I, most people have with the IPhone is that it can be a little “slow” when you run certain applications - the IPhone lag - and the fact that you cannot multitask with the IPhone is a showstopper for me.

So wasn’t I surprised, shocked this morning when I read this and it appears there are no signs of this even happening!

In light of the impressive videos we are seeing on the Palm Pre, and all around the buzz about this Palm offerring being an IPhone Killer, I really hope the sign of “no new IPhone brain” is just because Apple is keeping this under wraps and will surprise us all in the months ahead, like they have done so many times.

If not, and the bites against apple keep coming strong, Apple may find it difficult to maintain its “buzz” as “the IPod” of mobile phones. What I do know for certain, for consumers, this is the perfect storm - competition is always a good thing.
