MasterCard Unveils ATM Hunter App for iPhone

MasterCard has released ATM Hunter, an iPhone app that lets owners find nearby ATMs around the world by entering in an address or airport location. iPhone 3G owners don’t even have to do that, because the app is location aware and can pick up your current address from the GPS radio.

The app lets you search for ATMs geared toward specific tasks, such as making a deposit or wanting to use your own bank in order to avoid ATM fees. Or you can just search for all nearby ATMs if you want to take out cash fast–extra fees be damned.

ATM Hunter also tells you if the ATM in question is a dedicated bank, a drive-through, whether it’s wheelchair accessible, or if it’s one of those slot-machine-style ATMs buried behind the pasta sauce jars at the corner bodega. Get the free app from Apple’s App Store.
