Metal Gear Solid Comes to the iPhone, iPod Touch

Score another point for iPhone gaming: Konami has just released a full version of Metal Gear Solid Touch in the iTunes Store’s app section for $7.99. This version adds eight additional levels.

Designed specifically for the iPhone and iPod Touch, Metal Gear Solid Touch takes place in five chapters and 20 stages. The new later stages include extra-powerful enemies that require superior strategy to defeat.

Once you’ve made it through all 20 stages, you unlock a Survival Mode which lets you skip story images and play stages consecutively without replenishing your life gauge. As a bonus, players can grab over 30 original wallpapers featuring Metal Gear Solid illustrations by earning points throughout the game.

Players who already purchase the initial release of Metal Gear Solid Touch can update for free. Konami says a free lite version will soon be available. Click here to see the game in the iTunes Store.
