Cartier sues Apple over iPhone apps, withdraws suit the same day

French luxury goods maker Cartier has filed a suit against Apple on Friday, May 22, only to withdraw it hours later.

The Wall Street Journal reports that Cartier International filed a complaint against the iPhone maker, addressing the illegal use of its trademarked Tank watch brand in two iPhone apps.

But since Apple quickly removed the two apps from the App Store, Cartier obviously dropped the suit, saying that “our concerns have been addressed.”

This is the second complaint that Apple received over its applications in the last month. The first one came from a child warfare group that protested against an iPhone game which requires users to shake the handset in order to silence a crying baby. Apple obviously removed the game from the App Store.
