EA Mobile launches six games for iPhone and iPod Touch

EA mobile releases six new games namely Star Trek, American Idol, Trivial Pursuit, Lemonade Tycoon, Pandemonium and Anytime Pool for iPhone and iPod Touch users.

Based on the Star Trek franchise, the Star Trek iPhone game takes players on a space adventure. In this game, the player gets into the shoes of the U.S.S. Enterprise captain to fight against evil forces like the Cardassions, Klingons and Vulcans.

The characters of the series provide guidelines which would help the player in winning the game. The players need to collect power-ups for fire-power, greater energy and speed. They can gain new weapons on the basis of their performance.

Based on the lines of the popular show American Idol, the EA American Idol game gives players a chance to attain stardom and become the next American Idol on their iPhone or iPod Touch. One can use the integrated accelerometer and touch controls to perform and impress the honest judges panel. The players can not only interact with fellow contestants, fifteen motion actors and judges but also need to balance and juggle their hectic rehearsals and social lives. One needs to make intelligent choices to win the game such as how to change the hair style, whether rehearse or go out with friends, what to wear during the performance and more.

Players can enjoy answering more than 3,500 pictorial and text questions in Hasbro’s Trivial Pursuit classic board game on their iPhone and iPod Touch. This game is reinvented with rich sound effects, 3D graphics and intuitive touchscreen controls. WiFi connection and pass and play mode enables one to compete with maximum four gamers. Answer the question and win the deserving piece of pie.

Gamers need to choose the location, recipe, select staff and take other advertising decisions in this business simulation lemonade tycoon game. As proprietors of the business, players have to build their business empire. They can save up to six games when they sell juicy goods to interactive customers.

Nikki, a wizard under training, by mistake casts a spell and sets monster Yungo free. Yungo is out to swallow the whole village. Fargus, Nikki’s friend and his puppet named Sid along with Nikki need to make a boon at the wishing engine to save the villagers. However, they first need to face Eyeball, the guard. Players can enjoy sixty levels of adventure and fun.

  • Tankz ($1) is an arcade style game in which players can control one of three hover tanks. Players must work through three different levels collecting flags along the way and destroying enemy tanks and towers. Each level includes multiple enemies and obstacles along with hover pads and jump pads that can be used to regenerate health and launch a tank to higher areas. The game includes two different difficulty levels and two different game modes, Best Time and Best Score.
  • iBody ($8) can be used to track fitness data such as weight, body fat, blood pressure, pulse rate, and different sport activities. The software can tag a bicycle or jogging route using the GPS capabilities built into the iPhone and allows these routes to be saved and sent to others through an email. iBody also allows users to manage up to four separate accounts and have each protected with its own password.
  • C64 Camera ($1) lets users create images that are stylized to match graphics found on the Commodore VIC-64. The application uses the original VIC-64 color scheme and a simulated resolution to make the pictures look retro. Users can take new photos from within the application or import pictures from their photo library to add the effect to.
  • Gift Guru (free) is a tool for managing shopping lists for different occasions such as birthdays and anniversaries. Gift Guru provides access to PriceGrabber allowing users to find the best price on the gifts they are shopping for. Users can add recipients directly from their contacts list, set up a budget, add password protection, and record the status of each gift(bought, wrapped, sent).
  • iCover ($1) allows user to turn their photos into personalized magazine covers. The application features 25 different magazine templates includes a sports magazine, a pet magazine, and a fashion magazine. Users can then add photos and text to the templates to create their own magazine cover which can be saved to the photo library or emailed to friends and family.
