The iPhone 3G was supposed to be unlockable. But one company says it has come up with a way to put the popular device on any non-AT&T network.
A company called iPhone Unlocking Solutions, which claims to have sold 1 million copies, says it can unlock the device with just one click. The software works with all iPhone firmware, and its price has been temporarily dropped to $29.95. The company offers a money-back guarantee.
“We understand Apple has made a business decision to restrict iPhone service to AT&T,” CEO Michael Cera stated. “However, we also feel that decision has prevented millions of people from actually using the iPhone 2.2.1. To make the iPhone 3G a viable cell phone option for everyone, iPhone Unlocking Solutions will continue to design simple, affordable software to unlock all existing and future versions of the iPhone.”
