Turning your iPhone into a Game Boy isn’t just about playing those classic games on your new device, it’s about giving your new iPhone that retro, monochrome look!
Techradar.com gives us the scoop on the latest iPhone protective skin/sticker:
These ‘Monochrome’ stickers are produced by American company Infectious and, basically, turn your iPhone into something resembling a small Gameboy circa 1990.
…
Of course, the little red buttons and the Ninty-style D-pad and the back view of a full Gameboy-alike handheld are only for show. They don’t actually do anything.
iPhone skins cost you a cent under $15 from Infectious.com. Utterly useless of course, other than as a talking point in the pub.
So what do you think iPhone owners, are these skins worth the $15? I don’t own an iPhone, but for any of my mobile/portable devices, I’ve always been a case type of guy. Leather cases, pouches, crystal-clear shells, anything that gives total protection. These skins/stickers seem to just protect against scratches at most, I think I’d want a little more protection for any device, especially a $200 gadget such as the iPhone. Maybe this iPhone skin, a crystal clear case, and a protective leather case would do the trick!
