DataViz Offers Documents To Go for IPhone

DataViz on Monday announced the release of Documents To Go as an iPhone and iPod touch application. It’s available for purchase from the App Store for $5 or $10 depending on the version.

Short of having a version of Microsoft Office optimized for use on the iPhone or iPod touch, Documents To Go provides the next best thing — it lets you access those files on your portable device.

The 1.0 release of Documents To Go for iPhone and iPod touch is designed to enable you to view, edit and create Microsoft Word-formatted documents; the $10 version adds the ability to send and receive file attachments through Microsoft Exchange, as well.

Documents To Go also lets you view Excel, PowerPoint, PDF and Apple iWork-created files, synchronizing with a desktop application over Wi-Fi.

DataViz indicates that 1.0 version buyers will receive a free update tot hat support editing and creating Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.

System requirements call for iPhone OS 2.2 or later.
