The folks at Aeria Games are working on a new iPhone application. Currently in Alpha testing, this application promises to allow iPhone geeks to participate in a real-life treasure hunt for prizes that can be used or sold in their games.
Early information on this application shows that the technology is heavily GPS based and gamers will be able to pick items up that have been “dropped” by the GMs and other players. No word on the time line for official release yet.
Check out the forums at AeriaGames.com to submit your name for inclusion in the Alpha test!
Also, the Aeria marketing team is working on a Wii contest. Check out this article for more details.
