Sirius XM iPhone/iPod touch app now available

Enjoy listing to streaming music on your iPhone or iPod Touch? Now for only $3 a month (or free if you currently subscribe to their premium online service), you can listing to 120 channels via the newly released Sirius XM app.

The recently-merged companies hope to increase their customer base by offering another method to access their news, talk, sports, and music programs. With 19 million current customers, the satellite radio giant has fallen upon hard times - mostly due to slumping auto sales, which accounts for a large percentage of their subscription count.

Time will tell how well this succeeds, as Apple currently has a number of other music choices - a number of which (like Pandora and Slacker) are free.
