Apply has finally admitted that the iPhone 3G S is in short supply, they announced this not so shocking news with its quarterly earnings statement. Apple stated that its new iPhone is not being built fast enough.
Over the past few days there has been speculation that demand for the latest iPhone was far greater than the supply. Apple have not let this minor setback deter them from launching the new iPhone 3GS in 20 more countries.
BBC News reports that Apple said that they had sold 5.2 million iPhone’s in the first quarter of 2009, which is seven times more than the same period last year. Apple chief operating officer Tim Cook has said that they have recently increased production of the iPhone 3G S, and they were “right on schedule.”
