Google Latitude iPhone app live

Posted in iPhone News by admin. Published July 24th, 2009

Location sharing service Google Latitude arriving to help iPhone and iPod touch owners find their friends up and down the land ought to be a a joyous occasion, and while it’s here we can’t help but be a bitter.

Why? Because Google Latitude’s been busted down to a web app in iPhone Safari, rather than the full on app. Why? Because Apple said so.

Head on over to google.com/latitude on your iPhone and you’ll now be able to access Google Latitude so you can hit up any friends on the service and in the neighborhood for a catch up drink, or even track down your rogue employees.

No, we don’t follow that either. Does Apple think iPhone owners are stupider than Android users? Still, it’s good to see Google Latitude now available on every major smartphone platform, so none of your mates will slip through your social net now.
