After the iPhone 3.0 update all iPhone devices suffer from battery life issues
Apple’s iPhone 3GS has been a hot topic on the web lately for its heating issues. Computerworld has pointed out that the problem lies in the iPhone OS 3.0 software update. Many iPhone users are complaining about drop in battery life after updating their devices with the iPhone OS 3.0 update.
Apple had rolled out the iPhone OS 3.0 update on June 17 and iPhone owners received it for free. However, some battery life issues were reported on the Apple Discussion Forums after the iPhones were updated with the new iPhone OS 3.0. The Push Notifications was also one of the culprits to consume more battery life.
While it was believed that non-replaceable batteries were creating heating issues, it turns out that the bugs are mostly related to the software.
Usually many suggest not using old backups, resetting to factory settings and other ideas before flashing the iPhone 3.0 update. And as many have guessed, the iPhone 3.1 SDK has been rolled out early to tackle those bugs which might include fixing battery life related ones.
