iPhone sat nav app gets GPS car docking station
FA, Europe’s largest consumer electronics show, has touched down in Berlin from 4-9 September, and TomTom chose to unveil its iPhone sat nav car kit at IFA 2009.

The TomTom car kit is designed to complement the recently released TomTom sat nav app for iPhone 3GS, but is not likely to be available to buy in the UK until October 2009. Its price is rumoured to be around £100, whereas the sat nav app itself is available to download from the Apple app store for £59.99.

The TomTom car kit adds to the iPhone’s capabilities with an enhanced GPS receiver, built-in speaker, a large windscreen sucker and an integrated in-car charger. Which? will give the TomTom car kit a first look review as soon as it’s available.
