iPhone 3.1 Firmware released

Apple announced the release of 3.1 firmware for the iPhone and iPod touch. The most significant update with the firmware is that it allows you to use genius to search for applications based on the apps that you have already downloaded.

iTunes 9 which was also released at the same time supports app management within iTunes making customizing of the layout of applications much easier.

The firmware update and iTunes 9 are both available for download now and you should note that the firmware update is free to all including iPod touch users.
