TomTom iPhone car kit dated for October

TomTom has finally let us in on when we can expect the highly-anticipated car kit that accompanies its iPhone app, released a few weeks ago.

The car kit was pushed heavily when the TomTom app was first announced, particularly for its GPS enhancing ability and integrated speakers, but TomTom took the odd decision to release the two separately.

Still, an update to TomTom’s FAQs for the iPhone app now at least gives us an idea of when we can expect to pick it up, listing the car kit as available sometime next month, in October.

It’s also worth noting that the car kit and app are also compatible with the iPod touch, while the car kit on its own can also be used with other GPS apps on the iPhone and iPod touch.

There’s no exact date when we can expect it in October or prices as yet, but we will – as always – keep you updated.
