Apple iPhone ‘mixes business with pleasure’

The Apple iPhone 3G has been singled out as a device that offers a business solution for some and fun for others.

In a speech delivered at the Westminster eForum Keynote Seminar, More than Talk - The Future of Mobile, Jeremy Green described the phone as “cool” and popular with all kinds of user.

Speaking to delegates, the Ovum practice leader for mobile said that in addition to this, its creator had been able to build a product that could represent the future of the electronics industry.

“Apple is at the centre of this new version of the business model. They take responsibility for the end-to-end experience of the customer and they also sit in the middle of the value chain,” Mr Green concluded.

Earlier this month it was announced the manufacturer had achieved record quarterly profits of £1.01 billion, been buoyed by the sale of around 7.4 million iPhones in the three months ending September 26th.

Do you use your iPhone for work, play or both?
