He already has a number for a name, so it’s only natural that Cincinnati receiver Chad Ochocinco should also get his own iPhone application.

For $4.99, Ochocinco fans can track his every move through photos, videos and tweets. They also can ask his advice on how to live their lives and post their photos.
It’s like one big electronic community of people devoted to the same thing Chad Ochocinco is: Chad Ochocinco.
“The app is a glimpse into his life,” Bengals quarterback Jordan Palmer said. “It’s got a little bit of everything.”
See, the app was designed by a company formed by Palmer — who apparently has a lot of spare time as the backup to older brother Carson — and friends.
And they’re not going to stop there. They’ve also signed a deal to design a similar but different app for Terrell Owens.
As expected, the venerable Chris Chelios signed with the AHL’s Chicago Wolves on Tuesday. He’s expected to make his debut Friday at home against Manitoba.
FYI, the Wolves play a Nov. 6 road game against the Griffins at Grand Rapids. And it’s Dollar Beer and Dollar Dog Night.
Speaking of dogs, Michigan International Speedway announced it will allow the four-legged kind in its Graves Farm Campground during NASCAR and ARCA race weekends in June and August. The dogs must be leashed, and owners will be responsible for waste management.
And don’t let them chase the cars.
• First sign the Shock is history: Their Web site was shut down Tuesday. Try to call it up and all you get is a thank-you note from Palace president Tom Wilson.
• Reggie Hayes, The News-Sentinel Ft. Wayne, Ind., on the Redskins hiring Sherman Lewis to call plays: “Two weeks ago, Lewis was calling Bingo games at a senior citizens center. This seems like an unusual hiring search, but it’s the same way the Vikings found Brett Favre.”
• Magic coach Stan Van Gundy, asked by the Orlando Sentinel if he’s a union guy or management: “Neither. I’m an NBA coach, which means I’m a temporary employee.”
