Verizon Wireless: iPhone equivalent on their network?

Posted in iPhone News by admin. Published October 9th, 2009

For two years now the same question is being asked, what Verizon Wireless cell phone is the most equivalent to the Apple iPhone. Since AT&T got the exclusivity of the iPhone back in 2007, Verizon customers have been hoping to get their hands on the iPhone. This makes us wonder if Verizon actually has an equivalent.

When we take a closer look, it seems that Verizon is lacking in the handset department, which we discussed in our recent article “Verizon’s network, the iPhone, and lack of good smartphones.” However, although Verizon do not have the best Smartphones on the market, they do have a few good ones.

Back in 2008, the best iPhone equivalent on their network was the LG Voyager and the Samsung Glyde. Today there are a few more to take the fight to Apple and AT&T, these include the HTC Touch Pro and HTC Imagio. Both are good phones, but not one will worry the iPhone.

What phones do you think are the iPhone equivalent on Verizon Wireless?

Following on from our post the other day “No Verizon iPhone in 2010,” it was hoped that Verizon was to get the iPhone in 2010 once the AT&T exclusivity ended with Apple. There are a number of factors for the reason of not having a Verizon iPhone; this will not come as much comfort to Verizon customers as they cannot wait to get their hands on what is considered the best Smartphone on the market.
