Stolen iPhones Show Up In Russia?

Posted in iPhone News by admin. Published November 30th, 2009

A couple of days ago we reported about 4,000 iPhones that were stolen from a Belgium company. The police lost track of the thieves and the devices were never found. Touch My Apps reports that the units are currently being activated in Russia.

They are sold to local distributers by packs of 100 units.

However, customers might be in for a big surprise.

Apple and Interpol are in possession of all serial numbers of the stolen iPhones and any attempt to log on Apple servers will send information to those companies.

The iPhones can then be blocked via the networks they are on.
