Apple Tablet: IDC offer predictions on Tablet and iPhone App store

Well known research firm IDC has given an insight into some of their predictions regarding the ever-growing Apple App store, as well as the infamous Apple Tablet - still due to release sometime next year.

As reported from Apple Insider, IDC believes that even though the App Store has only just passed the 100,000 apps figure in November, the number of available apps will rise to as many as 300,000 before the end of 2010.

Interestingly, they also predict that the number of mobile devices that have access to the internet, will surpass the number of home PCs connected to the net in 2010, with the growth said to be 2.5 times faster than PCs.

When speaking about the unannounced Apple Tablet, they state that the Tablet ‘will’ arrive sometime next year, with 8-10 inch devices the most likely option.
