F1 2009 Heading To iPhone; New Screenshots Released

Codemasters F1 2009 for the PSP and Wii is also heading to Apple’s iPhone. New screenshots were released for the mobile version of the game.

And for this to be on the iPhone, it almost looks like a Wii title…either that’s very good visual output for the iPhone or a very sad, sad standard for the Nintendo Wii.

According to the press release…

Coming soon to the Apple App Store, F1 2009 features all 10 teams, 20 drivers and 17 circuits from the thrilling 2009 FIA FORMULA ONE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP. F1 2009 offers stunning visuals and a totally authentic FORMULA ONE experience on the iPhone and iPod.

”Stunning visuals” is not an inaccurate assessment for F1 2009 on the iPhone/iPod Touch. The game also sports crashing, time trials and an endurance race mode. A global AGON Online Social Platform Leaderboard will also make an appearance for gamers who feel the need to compare their lap times with other players.

F1 2009 is currently available for the PSP and Nintendo Wii. The game is “coming soon” for the iPhone and iPod Touch. For more info be sure to visit the Official Website.
