SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) — AT&T is bracing for a massive denial-of-service attack by unhappy iPhone users expected to at noon Friday.
The protest is being called Operation Chokehold; thousands of iPhone users are expected to protest what they say is poor service by AT&T, which is the iPhone’s only service provider.

The idea to attack the network started on a website that mocks Steve Jobs, then went viral on websites like Facebook and Twitter gaining the support of thousands of high school and college kids.
The goal is to shut down AT&T’s servers by running many data intensive applications for a solid hour.
AT&T says it is wrong to try to deny access to millions of other users.
