Mirror’s Edge Coming to iPhone & iPod Touch

While the rumour is still running wild with fans hoping for a sequel to 2008’s Mirror’s Edge, an inventive but ultimately flawed project from the developers of the widely respected Battlefield series, DICE Studios, Electronic Arts has confirmed that an adaptation of the game will be making it’s way to the iPhone and iPod Touch.

Due for release in January 2010, Mirror’s Edge for iPhone and iPod Touch once again casts players as Faith Connors.

In a city where information is heavily monitored, where law is brutally enforced, where most people sacrifice freedom for a comfortable life, there are still those that choose to live on the edge.

Players will take control of Faith,Electronic Theatre Image a member of an underground group known as “Runners”, acrobatic messengers who are the last source of free communication in this “perfect” city.

But a deadly threat has grown from within and Faith finds that she alone is the one that can stop it.

Featuring fourteen levels now cast in a third-person perspective, Mirror’s Edge for iPhone and iPod Touch grants players the ability to use Faith’s incredible acrobatic moves to outmanoeuvre the enemy - run on walls, slide down precarious ramps, ride ziplines and leap between rooftops.

Mirror’s Edge for iPhone and iPod Touch will be available in January 2010 from Apple’s App Store, and Electronic Theatre will keep you updated with all the latest details.
