XROAD’s G-Map US & Canada navigation app offers spoken turn-by-turn directions, and has now been updated with real-time traffic reports.
The original version of G-Map which was the first navigation software for iPhone and iPod Touch to offer turn-by-turn guidance. The new version includes several new features including spoken street names (using text-to-speech technology) and real-time traffic through NAVTEQ Traffic.
NAVTEQ Traffic delivers information about road construction, traffic speeds, and accidents, allowing drivers to make better routing and re-routing decisions. This service is available in 128 geographic areas, covering more than 200 million people in the United States and Canada.
No wireless connection is needed to use this app.

G-Map is now available in the on-device iPhone App Store, where it sells for $49.99.

Boy Genius scored a sneak peak of a Google Voice client, GV Mobile 2.0, which will be available in the near future on Cydia to anyone with a jailbroken iPhone.
GV Mobile is an application which allows your iPhone to use all of the features that comes with Google Voice and was actually in the App Store for a short period before Apple decided to yank it along with rejecting Google’s very own application.

After being pulled, the developer introduced GV Mobile to Cydia and offered up his hard work to anyone with a jailbroken iPhone.
