Meet the AR.Drone, a helicopter that can be controlled by the iPhone or the iPod touch.
It’s equipped with Wi-Fi and streams video from two cameras, and is made by the Paris wireless-accessories developer Parrot, which also created a Bluetooth race car.
Parrot has already created two games for the AR.Drone, but it’s calling for developers to jump on the API platform and make more.
So far, the company hasn’t announced a price or a release date, though it will go to market sometime in 2010. In live demos Friday at CES, handlers operated the buzzing helicopter inside a giant pen surrounded by netting, to the delight of the awed crowd.
