Just 20K Nexus Ones Sold?

Some analysts are suggesting that Google might have sold “just” 20,000 Nexus One phones this week, since the phone became available.

Just 20K Nexus Ones Sold?

Despite all the buzz that led up to the phone, it seems that the phone has only sold about a tenth of the Motorola Droid’s number, and of course, much less than the 1 million iPhone 3GS units sold during its launch.

Speculation is going around that this is due to Google’s business model, and also partnership with T-Mobile, which is only the 4th largest US carrier.

With Google looking to offer a CDMA version from Verizon, and a European version on Vodafone, hopefully Google will be able to hit the 5-6 million unit prediction by earlier analysts.

Did you buy a Nexus One?
