Millions of people have unsuccessfully tried to download Flash Player for the iPhone and iPod touch, claims an Adobe PR person, Mark Doherty.

The company recently posted a warning at the Flash Player download site, which informs iPhone OS users that Apple has restricted the technologies needed to make Flash work on their hardware. Doherty notes that by December 2009, as many as 7 million iPhone users had tried to download Flash. Figures had reached 3 million by June of that year.
IBM is trying to reach more Mac and iPhone users, as well as making the enterprise more social.
Big Blue is expected to announce Thursday at Macworld San Francisco that it will soon be delivering its enterprise social platform, Lotus Connections, and Lotus Quickr team collaboration package for use with the iPhone and Mac.
