Twitter acquires Tweetie for iPhone
Twitter announced on Friday that the company is purchasing application Tweetie for iPhone. The application will be renamed as “Twitter for iPhone” and will be offered free instead of regular price $2.99.
According to the CEO of Twitter, Evan Williams, creator of the Tweetie, Loren Britchter, He will join the company. Currently, Tweetie is sold for $ 2.99 in the iTunes AppStore. Even Williams said in a brief application of Twitter to IPAD should be released.
It is unclear as are the status of other mobile applications for Twitter when Tweetie became official application of Twitter on the iPhone.
