Although, there have been enough speculations over the alliance of Apple and Verizon, yet both the Companies have refused to comment. In fact, there are some sources which have now started raising issues which decline the possibility of the alliance.
Apple using AT&T for iPad data and Verizon’s anti-iPhone commercials is a justification against the alliance. An analyst at Morgan Stanley has indicated that Apple will bring Verizon on board soon.
Analyst Katy Huberty claims that nearly 17% of the Verizon customers are likely to shift to iPhone if the two Companies enter into an alliance.
The number would have reached ever higher if the customers wouldn’t have been provided with enough android based devices.
Huberty explained that 17% of customer base implies that more than 8 million iPhones would be sold, yearly, to Verizon customers.
Given the high probability of the profits, Apple is least likely to ignore them. Apple must go in for the alliance if it wants to boost the iPhone sales in the wake of the tough competition it has been facing from rivals like blackberry and Android.
