Will the iPhone 4G be available at Sprint ?

Posted in iPhone News by admin. Published May 29th, 2010

Apple made quite a fuss out there (yep, once again) with its iPhone 4G. But so far, no official release date was announced (although many believe it will actually come out in July). It seems the guys from The Tech Update might have managed to draw a leak out of a Best Buy employee’s email.

The Best Buy employee has provided some leaks about a CDMA version of the iPhone coming to Verizon Wireless, but we don’t quite know for sure because these rumors haven’t been confirmed yet. What I can tell you for now is only speculation, rumors saying that Verizon is manufacturing their own version of iPhone in Taiwan, said to be released later this year.

Leaving Verizon aside, we find ourselves with other interesting news about the new iPhone 4G and yes you have guessed it, these news are also rumors coming from the same source. The email exchange between the same Best Buy employee and The Tech Update website gave us some info about the new iPhone 4G with its stylish new design. The leak provider stated that the new Apple smartphone will be available via Sprint with a June release date. The source strengthened his statement saying that Sprint has already started working on their advertising plans.

From my point of view, this anonymous rumor sounds “believable”, especially since Sprint already has its wireless network backed-up with 4G and they will be launching their first 4G device in the 4th of June: the HTC EVO 4G. The iPhone 4G should fit perfectly in Sprint’s shelves alongside of the HTC EVO 4G. It should pose a threat to the newly released Android devices with the new design and the new or improved features that the iPhone OS 4.0 brings to Apple’s new toy.

Rumor: Microsoft Bing To Handle iPhone Search?

Posted in iPhone News by admin. Published May 29th, 2010

Maybe it’s because that WWDC is just around the corner and the announcement of the iPhone 4G is imminent, but rumors of Microsoft doing its bit to have Bing acting as the default search engine on the iPhone have surfaced again.

It’s still very much a rumor at this point, but knowing how Apple likes to keep these things secret, you wouldn’t expect anything official at the moment, anyways.
