HTC EVO 4G, the first 4G smartphone, is now available for pre-ordering at Radio Shack retail outlets.
Radioshack customers now have access to pre-ordering HTC EVO 4G at any one of more than 4,000 RadioShack stores beginning May 14 without having t5o deal with the hassles of a mail-in rebate.
The orders for the handset are however limited to three per person. The process of pre-ordering includes purchasing a $50 RadioShack gift card, which will be applied toward the purchase price of the device, and scheduling an appointment to pick up and activate the device.
In a bid to lure more customers, Radio Shack is offering a free $20 accessories gift card to those customers who put down a $50 deposit. The customers would receive the gift card once they pick up the device on June 4 or June 5.
Just before the official announcement, the news that Radio Shack will be offering EVO 4G, was leaked by one of their employees.
Well, now that Sprint has taken the lead with announcement of HTC Evo 4G release date, now Verizon iPhone 4G release date is awaited, that is if it is ever coming. Meanwhile Apple is expected to announce iPhone 4G release date for June 2010.
