Bits Pics: Can You See These Bars Now?

Theories are popping up all over the Web about what Apple will say about the iPhone 4 antenna problems at its press conference scheduled for Friday morning.

Meanwhile, Apple is getting ready to send a software update to iPhone customers that it says will more accurately display cell reception on the phone. Apple had said that the antenna problems, which can result in dropped calls, was a result of a software bug. The update will raise the height of the bars that show reception. As Apple explained earlier this month in a letter to customers, “We are also making bars 1, 2 and 3 a bit taller so they will be easier to see.”

It’s hard to see, though, how raising the height of the bars would fix any reception problems on the iPhone 4.
