There appears to have been a lot of hype and speculation since Apple held its emergency press conference last Friday, which was called to discuss the iPhone 4 reception problems, after Apple’s CEO Steve Jobs made a passing comment about a Verizon tower.
As reported by lanewsmonitor.com, while Steve Jobs was talking about the current iPhone 4 reception issues, he hinted about the presence of a Verizon tower on the Apple campus. This of course has led many to believe that a Verizon iPhone may still be on the way.
There have been rumors circulating for quite some time now, which have suggested the possibility of the iPhone 4 heading to Verizon. However, as mentioned in a previous post, many have now given up on the idea, considering nothing has really come of it.
This raises a rather interesting question: are people reading too much into Steve Jobs’ passing comment? Is it just an overzealous imagination, or could the Verizon iPhone really be a reality at some point? What do you think of Steve Jobs’ comment?
Could he really have been hinting of things to come?
