A brand new app feature has landed on the iPhone – one which has had something of a delayed arrival.

I guess Google can’t be ahead of the curve every time.
Today, Google has released an intrinsic new iPhone feature, which easily uploads Google’s email service, Gmail, which is considered an app.
Gmail, also known as “Google Mail,” is a free email service with innovative features like “conversation view” email threads, search-oriented interface and plenty of free storage (nearly 8 GBs). It easily consolidates previous email addresses from other companies into one account, making it simple for a new user to convert over from, say, Yahoo and MSN.
For some reason, Gmail hasn’t been performing all that well on the iPhone.
For example, users would have to refresh to see email updates, a feature that has been altered with today’s change. Now the app refreshes the inbox in a streaming fashion, making it easier to see incoming mail.
Larger buttons and clearer colors go hand in hand with this latest development – which is better for consumers.
Maybe a little competition is a healthy thing?
